So we woke up Tuesday morning and got quite a surprise. As we took Elder Burbank to the airport he's says, “Oh, by the way, the assistants told me last night that you guys are moving to a new apartment today." We were shocked to say the least, especially since we had just moved apartments two weeks before.
It's a total rundown shack, and I'm not just saying that. The housing coordinator loves to tease us. He’ll always ask, "Where do you live again?" And we’ll say "on Sunrise Blvd.” He gets that big old man smile and says, "oh yes, the sunrise shack.” Then he just laughs at us. Haha.
It's kinda beat up and feels like we're in the middle of Juarez Mexico. And it’s tiny and from the outside really does look like a shack. But on the bright side, the inside was just re-carpeted and re-painted. And hey, we get to brag that we live in the cheapest apartment in the mission :) haha.
Anyways, we've been super busy this week with moving, setting up the new apartment, service, meetings etc.. I love service. We helped a member and an investigator move this week as well. It was great..
Church this Sunday was interesting. The meeting time changed and so did the order of the meetings. We had Sunday School first, then Priesthood/Relief Society, then Sacrament. We were worried a bit that we might lose some people with all these changes. We weren’t sure if maybe people would be confused and show up at different times or if they would show up late, as usual, and miss out on the classes etc.. But it all worked out! Yeah! I ended up translating for two hours straight. By the end of our meetings my mouth was sore. haha. But I like translating. It was fun.
