Dear Family and Friends,
Another week of miracles! The Lord
is amazing. We continue to feel really blessed as we're finding people to teach.
For instance, we were walking down
the street and we saw this Cambodian man who was on his way home from work. We
stopped him to ask if we could walk home with him and have a lesson together. He
said sure! Next thing we knew, we are in his house teaching him about the
restoration. At the end of the lesson he even accepted the invitation to be
baptized! We just walked away amazed. It wasn't planned at all. It was just the Lord's hand in sending
us his prepared children that will hear his gospel. We’re excited for our return
appointment with him tonight.
Another miracle was Sophy and Christian's baptism.
It was such a good baptismal service. The talks were great, especially Sinouen Hem. She talked on baptism and just really brought the spirit. It was very powerful. It’s cool to think back about the personal progress she has made in her life. Elder Sturgell and I were talking afterwards, remembering how we had asked her to speak at Thea's baptism way back in December. She was so nervous that Elder Sturgell had to write up the whole talk for her! But this time she readily accepted the invitation to speak and just did such a great job all on her own! Sister Hem is actually going to the temple this week to take out her endowment. Wow! That family is just incredible. They are progressing so well. Its such a privilege to be a part of it. But anyways, the baptism itself went really well too. I got to baptize Sophy. Elder Sturgell got in the water to make sure she didn't slip or anything. We wanted to be extra careful because of the baby and everything. She came out of the water and said she felt "clear.” She was all smiles. It was awesome. Christian was a little bit sick leading up to the baptism so we gave him a blessing. Then, leading up to the baptism he was almost better and afterwards he was completely better. More miracles. We know he was blessed. They were both confirmed on Sunday. Their willingness to do this just makes me so happy. They really are going to be powerful members of the ward because they both "get it.” They understand the gospel really well. We were talking to Sophy after church yesterday and actually she might have the baby as soon as today! She said she's going in to get her blood checked and if it has lowered at all since last time, then she will have the C Section right then and there. She wants us to give her a blessing before she goes into surgery which we will be happy to do. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.

really feeling that especially at this time!
